Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to hire a Senior Software Engineer – C++/Go in Spain. You will design and build high-performance networking and security software, integrate with Nginx/Apache, and extend open-source components. Expect ownership across the full lifecycle in a remote-first, Europe-wide team.

You will work on bot-detection engines, security infrastructure, and scale across distributed systems with Go, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional C/C++ software development experience.
• Deep expertise in low-level programming and systems development.
• Practical experience with web security concepts and infrastructure.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and system design skills.
• Familiarity with web server architectures and integrations.
• Go knowledge is advantageous for multi-language work.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software components for web security, networking, and infrastructure.
• Develop integration modules for web servers such as Nginx and Apache.
• Extend and optimize open-source libraries and tools.
• Contribute to a C++ bot-detection engine and threat protection features.
• Collaborate on networked and security-focused product design and architecture.
• Contribute to web platform components and site engines using C++.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Investigate and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Work with Go, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.
