Script & Dot in Barcelona seeks a Senior C++ Software Engineer – Hardware Systems. The role is hybrid (2 days onsite per week) in Barcelona, Spain, joining a global tech leader on next‑generation software for complex hardware systems.

You will develop Modern C++ software for instrumentation, build Windows applications interfacing with hardware, and work with high-speed data streaming across PCIe and Ethernet.

Formación

• Strong commercial, hands-on Modern C++ experience (C++17+).
• Experience developing software in Windows environments.
• Experience working close to hardware — instrumentation, devices, boards, embedded systems.
• Good understanding of multithreading, concurrency and performance optimisation.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex software/hardware systems.
• Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, drivers, networking or high-throughput data systems is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop Modern C++ (primarily C++17) software for complex instrumentation systems.
• Build Windows applications that interface with devices, boards and specialised hardware.
• Work with high-speed PCIe and Ethernet data streaming.
• Debug across application code, drivers, interfaces and hardware behaviour.
• Develop multithreaded, performance-sensitive software.
• Support system integration, validation and testing within an R&D/lab environment.
• Work primarily in Windows, with some Linux development.
