Johnson & Johnson Innovation Madrid seeks a Senior Ontologist for Biologics Discovery to design, build, and govern semantic models enabling knowledge graphs, AI/ML, and data interoperability across biologics workflows.

You will partner with scientists, data engineers, and CMC teams to translate biology into machine-readable ontologies, align with enterprise standards, and drive semantic quality and reuse across the organization. This role is based in Madrid with no remote option.

Formación

• Advanced degree in a biomedical informatics or related field.
• 3+ years in ontology engineering and knowledge graph development.
• Hands-on experience with versioning, change management, validation, and release workflows for ontology assets.
• Proficiency with OWL, RDF(S), SKOS, SHACL, SPARQL and graph/semantic tech.
• Ability to translate scientific discussions into semantic models and align them across teams.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed R&D environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design, release and standardize ontology modules and vocabularies across biologics discovery.
• Publish ontology packages as API-ready assets for data products and AI/ML workflows.
• Collaborate with scientists to elicit and translate concepts into computable semantic models.
• Align semantic standards with enterprise governance and downstream development partners.
• Develop semantic quality checks and governance guidance.
