Job summary

Clio is seeking an experienced Billing Lead to own our billing cycle across subsidiaries. You will manage orders, invoicing, SEPA direct debits, card payments, and VAT compliance to SII, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

You will lead month-end close, collaborate with Sales, Revenue Ops, and Support, drive continuous improvement and automation in NetSuite, and mentor junior staff in a dynamic hybrid Barcelona team.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in billing, accounts receivable or finance operations.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Spanish VAT, SII and e-invoicing regulations.
• Experience with SaaS systems and payment reconciliation tools.
• Advanced English (C1), spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Own the billing cycle for multiple legal entities, ensuring invoices are accurate and issued on time.
• Review and approve orders per internal procedures and set review criteria for special cases.
• Record, update and verify data in NetSuite to keep it accurate.
• Resolve complex billing issues and act as escalation point for the team.
• Design, run and reconcile SEPA direct debit batches and manage card payments.
• Submit records to the SII within deadlines and apply VAT/e-invoicing regulations.
• Close month-end: ensure invoices are issued and recorded in NetSuite.
• Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Ops on terms, pricing and agreements.
• Lead continuous improvement and automation in NetSuite with data validation.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain process documentation.
