Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive utility-scale BESS sales in Spain. The role centers on market expansion, strategic partnerships, project origination and commercial execution in the rapidly growing energy storage sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years in renewable energy with at least 3 years in BESS or energy project development.
• Native Spanish speaker with professional English.
• Strong knowledge of the Spanish electricity market and BESS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development for utility-scale BESS projects (≥50MWh) in Spain, including market expansion and partnerships.
• Develop relationships with utilities, project developers, EPCs, and other stakeholders; conduct negotiations and contract execution.
• Manage project delivery from opportunity to feasibility, bid, and delivery support; coordinate with technical teams.
