Job summary

Envision Energy in Madrid seeks an experienced energy storage engineer to design and optimize utility-scale BESS solutions. You will work closely with sales to translate requirements into technical designs, evaluate RFPs, and guide tender responses.

The role requires 7+ years in storage/energy engineering, fluent technical English, and familiarity with grid integration and regulatory standards. Chinese language skills are a plus, and the position is based on site in Madrid.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Energy Engineering.
Fluent technical English; Chinese language skills preferred.
7+ years in energy storage or related field, preferably with DNO/TSO exposure.
Working knowledge of battery systems, PCS, EMS/SCADA, and grid connections.
Understanding of regulatory requirements for BESS systems.

Responsibilities

Design, engineer and optimize utility-scale energy storage systems with the sales team.
Analyze RFPs, assess project scope and risk from a technical view.
Prepare technical designs and presentations for customers and the sales team.
Translate customer requirements into BESS technical solution designs.
Review and submit tender response bundles within deadlines.
Analyze previous tender outcomes from a technical perspective.
Keep up with storage market trends and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with customers and commercial teams to finalize contracts from a technical angle.
