Verisure is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to join the Technology Department at the Alicante Tech Hub. You will act as a technical referent for the IT Provisioning team, guiding architecture decisions and ensuring the onboarding data flows align with platform strategy.

The role emphasizes reliability, scalability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with hybrid work between the Alicante office and remote weeks.

Formación

• 7+ years of provable IT experience.
• High level of English and Spanish (B2 or higher).
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

About The Role

We now have the opportunity for a Senior Backend Software Developer to join our Technology Department.

Location

Verisure Tech Hub - Alicante.

The role will be based at our new technology site in Alicante. Backed by over 1,700 technologists worldwide and powered by one of Europe’s largest IoT platforms.

Your Future Team

You will join the IT Provisioning team, one of the most critical functions in our organisation. They ensure that when a customer joins us, all their data reaches every IT team that needs it to activate and deliver the service.

Provisioning acts as the central connector: they link systems, validate data flows, and make sure the entire onboarding process runs smoothly end‑to‑end. Without their work, no team can start delivering service — they are the engine that makes everything move.

The Opportunity

• Act as a technical referent for the team. Coach and guide tech leads on architectural and technical decisions.
• Align team-level technical decisions with the platform strategy defined by the Platform Technical Lead.
• Translate platform technical strategy into actionable standards, guidelines, and priorities for the team, and ensure coherence across platforms and processes.
• Ensure technical quality, reliability, and sustainability of solutions delivered by the team.

Required Qualifications

• +7 years of provable experience in IT.
• High level of English and Spanish (B2 or higher).
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures.
• Practical experience deploying and operating systems on Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, API REST, and asynchronous communication.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Strong grasp of system performance, scalability, and reliability concepts.

• Clear communication: able to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
