Verisure in Alicante, Spain, is seeking a QA Engineer to join our Technology Department and deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deliver robust test plans, automate where appropriate, and ensure API reliability through RESTful testing and CI/CD integration. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset is essential in our fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field; practical QA/testing experience accepted.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Advanced experience in test management using XRAY and JIRA, including test planning, execution tracking, and traceability with requirements.
• Hands-on experience in testing RESTful services using tools such as RestAssured, ensuring API reliability, performance, and correctness.
• Strong experience working with CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows.
• Design and execution of functional test cases based on business requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring full coverage and validation of expected behavior.
• Ability to define, analyze, and report key quality metrics (KPIs) such as test coverage, defect density, defect leakage, and mean time to resolution, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Solid experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), actively participating in ceremonies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

About The Role

We now have the opportunity for a QA Engineer to join our Technology Department, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality software solutions, ensuring they align with our business objectives and meet the highest industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver.

The role will be based at our new, additional, technology site in Alicante, Spain. Backed by over 1,700 technologists worldwide based across our three key technology centres – our primary technology hub in Geneva (Switzerland), supported by Madrid (Spain), and Malmö (Sweden), and powered by one of Europe’s largest IoT platforms, we’re building something big, and we’re just getting started in Alicante.

We’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure, adapts quickly when priorities shift, and enjoys solving challenges in fast‑moving environments.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Candidate Profile

Technical Skills:

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience in software quality assurance or testing roles will also be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Will Be a Plus

• Practical experience in front‑end test automation, using frameworks such as WebdriverIO.
• Basic knowledge of performance and/or security testing, with awareness of non‑functional validation approaches (not a primary requirement).
• ISTQB certification or equivalent, demonstrating formal understanding of testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and quality expectations.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive and analytical approach, capable of identifying root causes, anticipating risks, and proposing effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high‑quality results within tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or ambiguities in requirements, test scenarios, and system behavior.
