Verisure is seeking a Service Application Engineer to join our Madrid Technology team. You will support the applications behind our smart alarm services, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems used by customers daily.

You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to resolve production challenges, drive automation, and contribute to a DevOps and reliability-focused operating model in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 3+ years in IT operations support, application support, or SRE roles.
• Bachelor's in Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with Kubernetes and microservices-based environments.
• Experience with Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Python or Shell).

Responsabilidades

• Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents to minimize downtime.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement to boost operational efficiency.

We are looking for a talented and driven Service Application Engineer to join our growing Technology team in Madrid.

This is a critical role supporting the applications behind our smart alarm services, ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of systems that our customers rely on every day. Working closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams, you will help resolve complex production challenges, drive automation initiatives, and contribute to our transition towards a DevOps and reliability-focused operating model.

We are seeking an engineer with strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a passion for solving problems in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications and services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents to minimize service disruption.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve system scalability, resilience, and protection.
• Analyze logs, metrics, and system behavior to identify root causes and optimize performance.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to disaster recovery and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT Operations Support, Application Support, Service Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar roles.
• Bachelor's in Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related studies.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and microservices-based environments.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and scripting skills (Shell, Python or similar).
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as ELK (Kibana, Elasticsearch) and OTel.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Experience in log analysis, incident troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Automation-first mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
• Professional English (B2 or higher).
