Pluxee is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer in Zaragoza to join the Payments Squad and shape the engine that moves money globally. You will design resilient services, evolve distributed architectures, and lead with a focus on data consistency and fault tolerance.

You will work closely with React/React Native teams, apply AI-assisted coding, and drive high-quality testing, observability, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, international environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience developing production-grade applications.
• Experience within the Node.js ecosystem is a plus.
• Distributed systems mastery: race conditions, eventual consistency, idempotency, message brokers.
• Payments mind-set: banking systems, payment gateways, ledger systems, or reconciliation processes are a plus.
• AI-empowered developer: using AI tools for problem-solving, code generation, and workflow optimization.
• Problem-solving DNA for high-concurrency environments.
• Quality-first with automated testing patterns and shift-left security mindset.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and help others.

Responsabilidades

• Design for resilience with backend services capable of handling high-volume traffic and ensuring 100% data consistency.
• Evolve distributed architectures into scalable, event-driven systems for global product needs.
• Perform comprehensive testing (unit, integration, acceptance) and conduct load/performance simulations.
• Monitor service health in production using observability tools and resolve bottlenecks.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and documenting standards.
• Leverage AI tools daily to accelerate development and automate repetitive tasks.
