Jobgether partnered with a Spain-based company to hire a Senior Backend Engineer focusing on core APIs with a production‑level SRE mindset. The role centers on building reliable backend services, real-time data processing, and cost-aware infrastructure in a fully remote, globally distributed team.

You will own system reliability, define service objectives, improve observability, and mentor peers while shipping scalable backend systems and APIs across time zones.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Formal SRE practices experience including error budgets and capacity planning.
• Strong hands-on experience with Go and/or Node.js.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, microservices, and real-time data-processing services.
• Experience running production workloads and observability tooling (Datadog, logging, tracing).
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience is welcome.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and optimize highly performant backend services for real-time data processing and web APIs.
• Define and own SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for core API services.
• Build and maintain observability through metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
• Participate in on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and conduct post-incident reviews.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering standards across the team.
