Bark is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a highly agile team focused on modernising and scaling our platform. You will contribute across the stack from backend processes to APIs and frontend product interactions, driving AB testing and fast prototyping in a remote setup based in Spain.

You will influence architectural decisions, own critical services, and mentor peers while delivering robust, scalable software in a dynamic marketplace environment.

Formación

• Proven Python production experience with 5+ years.
• Experience designing and testing APIs and event handlers.
• Hands-on with SQL/NoSQL databases in production.

Responsabilidades

• Work with development teams and product managers to conceptualise and implement software solutions
• Build elegant and performant APIs and handlers
• Develop and manage well-functioning datastores and services
• Proactively propose and implement improvements to the codebase
• Mentor other engineers to support their growth
• Design and code solutions for systems with a high volume of transactions a second
• Work with other high performing departments to revolutionise the product
