Jobgether is partnering to source a Lead Software Engineer based in Spain for a fully remote, full-time position. You will own features end-to-end across frontend and backend, delivering high-quality web apps with Node.js, TypeScript and React 18+.

The role blends hands-on coding with architectural problem-solving and API design, with a focus on testing, performance, and CI/CD. You’ll collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers to turn ideas into seamless user experiences, and you’ll use

Formación

• 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience across frontend and backend.
• Advanced proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with React 18+ and modern patterns.
• Solid understanding of automated testing with Vitest or Jest.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and TanStack Query.
• Knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, and session-based auth.
• Designing and consuming APIs with external services.
• Linux command-line proficiency in development and deployment.
• Git with collaborative branching and code reviews.
• Ability to integrate AI-powered tools into workflow.
• Desirable: Bun and Hono.
• Desirable: AWS CDK and IaC practices.
• Desirable: PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM.
• Desirable: Docker and container-based development.
• Desirable: Testcontainers for container testing.
• Desirable: Monorepo-based development environments.
• Familiarity with VS Code extensions is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web apps with Node.js, TS, React 18+.
• Own end-to-end features from design through delivery and optimisation.
• Design and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and external integrations.
• Build responsive, accessible UIs with React, Tailwind, TanStack Query.
• Implement secure authentication using OAuth/OIDC and sessions.
• Maintain engineering standards with automated tests and code reviews.
• Write efficient SQL and optimise DB interactions.
• Use Git for collaboration and reviews.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity while keeping quality.
• Work in Linux-based development and deployment environments.
• Collaborate with product/design/engineering for reliable features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and performance improvements.
