Bark is expanding its engineering team and seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to own backend systems, APIs and data flows in a fast-moving marketplace. You will work across services to implement scalable solutions and contribute to modernising the tech stack as the company transforms.

Based in Spain and fully remote, you will collaborate with product and ops to deliver high-velocity features, AB tests, and robust data stores.

Formación

• Expertise in Python in production environments (5+ years).
• Design, implementation and testing of APIs, event handlers, and business logic.
• Experience with integrations to 3rd party systems.
• Production SQL and NoSQL databases experience.
• Docker in production; Kubernetes or Fargate/ECS/EKS familiarity.
• Ability to build, test and document features for internal and external use.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to design and implement software solutions.
• Build elegant and performant APIs and handlers.
• Develop and manage datastores and services.
• Proactively propose and implement codebase improvements.
• Mentor other engineers to support growth.
• Design and code solutions for high-throughput systems.
• Work with other departments to evolve the product.
