Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our client’s team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This on-site role requires expertise in planning, executing, and reporting on financial and operational audits for clients in the banking and finance sector.

The successful candidate will have a CA(SA)/ACCA/CPA or equivalent, at least five years of external auditing experience, strong ISA knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple engagements while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of external auditing experience.
• CA(SA)/ACCA/CPA or equivalent required.
• Strong ISA knowledge and financial services exposure.
• Proficiency in audit software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Evaluate internal controls and assess effectiveness.
• Document findings and recommend improvements.
• Prepare audit reports detailing procedures and recommendations.
• Mentor junior audit staff on engagements.
• Liaise with client management on plans and actions.
• Ensure audits comply with ISA and firm methodologies.
