About the Role

Our client, a dynamic consulting firm specializing in occupational health and safety, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Health & Safety Compliance Auditor. This fully remote position will involve conducting virtual audits, assessments, and consultations to ensure client compliance with stringent health and safety regulations across various industries. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote audits and assessments of client health and safety management systems against relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Analyze findings, identify compliance gaps, and develop comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on health and safety compliance matters via virtual channels.
• Develop and update audit protocols and assessment tools to reflect evolving regulatory requirements.
• Deliver virtual training sessions and workshops on health and safety topics to client personnel.
• Stay current with all national and regional health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all audit activities and client interactions.
• Participate in internal quality assurance reviews and continuous professional development.
• Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety auditing, compliance, or a similar advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African health and safety legislation (e.g., OHS Act, environmental regulations).
• Proven ability to conduct thorough and objective audits, analyze data and write detailed reports.
• Excellent virtual communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, cloud-based document sharing).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality.
