Basque Culinary Center in Donostia-San Sebastián invites applications for a Lecturer in Science and Technology to develop academic programmes and contribute to research and knowledge transfer in Food Science and Technology. The role blends teaching with research, co-designing Master’s courses, developing LMS content, and collaborating with industry partners to connect science, gastronomy and education.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.
• PhD in Food Science and Technology or related discipline.
• Teaching experience in either formal or non-formal education.
• Experience in projects related to the food industry, gastronomy or culinary sciences.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage groups and build relationships in academic and professional environments.
• Experience supervising students in practical and experimental learning environments, such as laboratories.
• English proficiency at C1 level for teaching and professional communication.

Responsabilidades

• Co-designing and delivering teaching within Master’s programmes in areas such as food quality, bromatology, instrumental analysis, and other disciplines related to Food Science and Technology.
• Designing, developing and implementing tailored training programmes on LMS platforms (Moodle or similar), including the creation of learning content, activities and assessment systems.
• Collaborating on research projects within the department.
