Job summary

2K Games seeks a Game Localization Lead for Russian content to own language strategy and execution across titles. You will drive tone, cultural relevance, and quality, while coordinating with developers, producers, QA, and publishing to meet platform standards.

You will lead VO casting and script reviews, maintain glossaries, and mentor junior linguists. This role requires deep Russian linguistic expertise and strong English communication in a dynamic gaming environment.

Qualifications

• Professional localization experience in games, tech, or entertainment.
• Native fluency in Russian with strong tone, grammar and regional nuance.
• Advanced English fluency (written and spoken).
• Deep understanding of the regional gaming landscape and player culture.
• Experience with VO scripting and dubbing production is a plus.
• Ability to work independently on complex language projects and manage vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own the localization strategy, quality bar, and final sign-off for Russian content across all 2K titles.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce glossaries, style guides, and cultural content policies for the Russian market.
• Advise on cultural risks and communicate brand impacts to stakeholders.
• Escalation point for tone disputes and QA challenges with the LQA team.
• Review and edit localized content (in-game text, UI, scripts, VO) for tone and clarity.
• Lead VO casting, script reviews, and live sessions during Russian voiceover production.
• Collaborate with localization producers, embedded LQA, marketing, publishing, and dev to guide language decisions.
• Ensure content adheres to Russian age rating requirements and compliance standards.
• Advise on font selection for UI to ensure legibility in Russian.
• Supervise and mentor junior linguists and vendors; drive process improvements.
• Contribute to Global Loc 2.0 initiatives to improve localization standards.
