2K seeks a Game Localization Lead for French to own language strategy and execution across our game portfolio. You will collaborate with developers, producers, QA, and publishing to ensure high-quality French content that resonates with players and adheres to platform guidelines.

As an individual contributor within the CLOC team, you will guide voice casting, style guides, and terminology while mentoring junior linguists and vendors, driving quality and consistency across releases.

Formación

• Native fluency in French with strong tonal and regional nuance.
• Advanced English fluency for global collaboration.
• Experience in game localization or entertainment.
• Ability to work independently on complex language projects.
• Familiarity with localization tools (CAT, TM, XLOC, Jira, CMS).

Responsabilidades

• Own the localization strategy, quality bar, and final sign-off for French content across all 2K titles.
• Review and edit localized content (in-game text, UI, scripts, VO) for tone, clarity, fluency, and cultural relevance.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce glossaries, style guides, and cultural content policies for the French market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—localization producers, LQA, marketing, publishing, and dev.
• Serve as the main linguistic escalation point for French-related bugs, tone disputes, or QA challenges.
• Supervise and provide feedback to entry- and mid-level linguists or vendors working on French content.
• Consult with game studios on French age rating, terminology, and visual/language compliance.
• Lead VO casting, script review, and direct creative sessions during French voiceover production.
• Regularly review in-development builds to audit tone, consistency, and cultural resonance.
• Recommend process improvements to improve quality and turnaround time for French localization.
• Participate in Global Loc 2.0 initiatives shaping localization standards and tooling.
