Job summary

GE Vernova is recruiting a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee offshore wind asset operations, coordinating with site teams and engineering specialists to ensure safe, efficient performance throughout the asset lifecycle.

The role emphasizes remote diagnostics, data-driven fault analysis, and continuous improvement, with travel up to 20% and rotating weekday shifts, plus occasional on-call support. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility; relocation to Barcelona may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation for weekends/public holidays.
