Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee remote operation of offshore wind assets from our Barcelona-based Remote Operations Center. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose faults, and coordinate with field teams to ensure reliability and safety.

In this role you’ll work across commissioning and service phases, apply SCADA and diagnostic tools, and contribute to continuous improvement. Relocation to Barcelona is expected; travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
