Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead in Barcelona to manage the safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center. You will monitor performance, diagnose issues, support commissioning, and work with field teams to restore and optimise turbine performance.

The role requires a degree in engineering, hands-on wind experience, and fluency in English. Occasional travel up to 20% is expected, with relocation to Barcelona as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them to troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
