Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center focused on wind energy. Based in Barcelona, you will oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operation from a remote center, guiding commissioning and service phases and working with site teams to sustain turbine performance.

You will analyze data, troubleshoot, and coordinate with engineering for continuous improvements, while supporting grid outage activities and a rotating weekday shift with on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekend/public holiday support.
