Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor offshore wind assets, guide commissioning and service activities, and collaborate with site teams to ensure reliable turbine performance throughout lifecycle.

The role involves remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, data analysis, and daily collaboration with engineering experts. Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and returning performance to normal.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operations data to identify faults, trends and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/holidays.
