Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona, Spain. You will support the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote hub, guiding commissioning and service phases and ensuring turbines run reliably.

You will monitor performance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with site teams and engineering to resolve faults, driving continuous improvement while maintaining safety and compliance. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/holidays.
