Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in Wind Energy. You’ll monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues remotely, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable offshore wind assets.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, analyze data, and contribute to safety, continuous improvement, and grid support, with travel up to 20% and an emphasis on clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
