Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You'll monitor performance, support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics, and contribute to continual improvement while travelling up to 20% and relocating to Barcelona

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with clear technical communication.
• Willing to travel up to 20%, relocation to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
