Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center focused on wind energy, based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable operations across the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with site and engineering teams, analyze data for faults and improvements, and contribute to process optimisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/public holidays
