Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center focusing on wind energy. The role involves monitoring offshore wind assets, diagnosing issues, and guiding commissioning and service activities from Barcelona.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to ensure turbines operate reliably, safely, and efficiently throughout their lifecycle, with a rotation schedule and on-call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility; relocation to Barcelona may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
