Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center focused on wind energy, based in Barcelona, Spain. You will help monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues remotely, and support both commissioning and service activities to ensure asset reliability.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, analyze data for faults, and contribute to process improvements, with travel up to 20% and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use SCADA systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
