Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center focusing on wind energy in Barcelona, Spain. The role ensures safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets through remote diagnostics, data analysis, and close collaboration with site teams.

You will lead troubleshooting, monitor alarms, and support commissioning and service activities, with rotating weekday shifts and on-call coverage. Fluency in English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication under pressure.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
