Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona, Spain. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, spanning commissioning and service phases, with remote diagnostics, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to analyze data, drive improvements, and ensure turbine reliability. Travel up to 20% and EU relocation are involved, with a rotating shift and on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm, structured under pressure, collaborative mindset.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
