Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will support safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote hub, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to resolve issues and improve performance.

You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and guide field teams through troubleshooting while contributing to continuous improvement and grid outage support when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Support commissioning and service via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults and trends.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with weekend/on-call coverage.
