Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) based in Barcelona, Spain. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote hub, spanning commissioning and service phases.

You will diagnose issues, guide field teams, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has engineering credentials, hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA know‑how, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and holidays.
