Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona. You will manage remote operation of offshore wind assets, analyze performance, and drive improvements from a centralized center.

You will work with site teams and engineers to promptly resolve issues and ensure safety and reliability. The role requires a degree in engineering, hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA proficiency, and the ability to communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and other digital monitoring tools.
• Availability to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and willingness to relocate to Barcelona with EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
