Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona to oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations from a remote center. You will work with site teams to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, enabling reliable turbine performance across its lifecycle.

The role requires wind energy experience, SCADA proficiency, travel up to 20%, and willingness to relocate within the EU. Strong technical communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call weekends/public holidays.
