Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Wind Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, guiding commissioning and service phases and coordinating with site teams to maintain turbine performance.

You will analyze data, troubleshoot, and drive improvements while supporting grid outage activities. Travel up to 20% may be required; English fluency and EU work eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
