Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona, to oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations from a remote hub. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to diagnose issues, guide commissioning and service activities, and drive continuous improvements.

The role requires wind energy experience, SCADA proficiency, and strong analytical skills, with travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona welcomed. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and a calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility; relocation to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
