Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations based in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee the safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center and collaborate with site teams to analyse and resolve issues.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience, proficiency with SCADA and digital monitoring tools, and strong analytical communication skills. Travel up to 20% and EU work eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility; willing to relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service activities.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation for weekends/public holidays.
