Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona seeks a ROC Technical Lead to support safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote Operations Center. You’ll work across commissioning and service phases, helping turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will analyze operational data, troubleshoot with site teams and engineering experts, and communicate findings clearly while driving continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona with EU eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekend/public holiday support.
