Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center focused on offshore wind assets in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, analyze alarms, and guide commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics to ensure safe, continuous operation.

You’ll collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, read electrical schematics, and use SCADA tools to diagnose faults, drive improvements, and support grid-related outages as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Fluent English, willingness to relocate to Barcelona, EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/public holidays.
