Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind) to oversee offshore wind asset performance from a Barcelona-based remote hub. You will collaborate with site teams, engineers, and control rooms to detect, analyze, and resolve issues ensuring safe, efficient operation across lifecycle.

You will monitor turbines, perform remote diagnostics, and drive continuous improvement while supporting commissioning, service activities, and grid outage responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent in English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends/public holidays.
