Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee safe, efficient remote operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues across commissioning and service phases.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA proficiency, and the ability to travel up to 20%. Strong communication in English and relocation to Barcelona are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and a calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; EU work eligibility and relocation to Barcelona.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
