Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center (Wind) to oversee offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to diagnose issues, optimize performance, and guide commissioning and service activities.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA proficiency, and strong problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona, with EU work eligibility, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
