Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will support safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets, guiding commissioning and service activities from a remote control room.

You will work with site teams and engineers to detect, analyse, and resolve issues, ensuring turbine reliability and continuous improvement. Travel up to 20% is expected and relocation to Barcelona may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot field issues.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/public holidays.
