Job summary

GE Vernova in Spain seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center to oversee offshore wind assets from a centralized hub. You will monitor performance, analyze alarms, and guide commissioning and service activities.

You will collaborate with site teams, read electrical schematics, use SCADA, and drive continuous improvement while traveling up to 20% and potentially relocating to Barcelona.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or equivalent wind sector experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and clear technical communication; calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support.
