Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform across EMEA. The role requires a biomedical/engineering background, strong problem-solving, and fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian. Includes domestic and international travel, with fixed hours and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in (biomedical/electrical/mechanical) engineering with min 4 years experience or advanced degree with 2 years experience, or medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Experience with analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE and act as a technical liaison.
• Drive escalation process to resolve customer issues and initiate field service support as needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation/system entries are completed promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Regular working hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 with rotating schedule.
