Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer based in Spain to shape infrastructure and developer experience for a growing engineering organization. You will lead high-impact initiatives focused on continuous delivery, cloud infrastructure, automation, and developer productivity across distributed teams.

This remote role emphasizes hands-on execution, ownership, and long-term scalability, with a focus on AI-powered workflows and improving platform reliability across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive Staff Engineer level experience leading cross-functional tech initatives.
• Strong leadership: influence architecture and standard-setting across teams.
• Production cloud infra design and ops, AWS focus (ECS/Fargate, RDS).
• Experience with containerization and IaC tools like Terraform/Terragrunt.
• Proven CI/CD improvements improving speed, frequency, and reliability.
• Developer platform mindset with self-service tooling.
• Knowledge of automating AI-powered dev workflows is a plus.
• Observability experience using Datadog or similar.
• Troubleshooting and incident mgmt across platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform engineering initiatives from design through deployment and continuous improvement.
• Deliver early improvements to developer productivity by stabilizing CI and automations.
• Drive architectural decisions and standardization across engineering teams.
• Own and evolve cloud infra, CI/CD pipelines, and developer environments.
• Build self-service tooling and reusable abstractions for engineers and AI workflows.
• Improve testing infra and deployment workflows for speed and reliability.
• Strengthen production reliability with monitoring and incident response practices.
• Collaborate with distributed Platform and Engineering teams across time zones.
• Lead infra standards, governance, docs, and reliability practices.
• Mentor peers and foster ownership, automation, and collaboration.
