Jobgether is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Spain to lead major architectural initiatives while staying hands-on in backend development. You will shape a distributed rendering platform focused on simplicity, scalability, reliability, and testability, helping engineers make better technical decisions.

Formación

• 10+ years of professional experience designing and delivering complex software and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale technical or architectural initiatives.
• Deep expertise in modern backend development, ideally with TypeScript/Node.js or Golang.
• Strong familiarity with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Excellent understanding of system design, distributed architectures, performance, reliability, and software quality.
• Strong systems-thinking ability to connect product objectives with architecture and practices.
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership and initiative in remote-first environments.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute directly to core systems while setting high standards for code quality, testing, architecture, and design.
• Lead cross-team architectural initiatives to simplify systems and improve scalability, reliability, and testability.
• Design elegant solutions for distributed systems and large-scale rendering infrastructure.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks, and establish engineering defaults to enable teams to work efficiently.
• Coach and mentor engineers through reviews and hands-on guidance.
• Promote practices such as TDD, pair programming, CI/CD.
• Collaborate with product and leadership to balance delivery with long-term health.
• Improve tooling, workflows, and shared practices across teams.
• Lead by example with ownership and technical excellence.
