Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff-level Backend Engineer to build the first production services for a new AI-native context layer. You will design core backend architecture for ingestion, indexing, retrieval APIs, and agent integrations, while operating with high autonomy and collaborating across teams.

You’ll shape architecture, deployment patterns, and engineering practices, ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions that align with real user workflows and production needs.

Formación

• Proven experience building production-grade software.
• Ability to define scope in ambiguous situations.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and observability tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design and ship core backend services for the context layer.
• Build a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS foundation and APIs.
• Instrument services with metrics, logs, and dashboards to improve reliability.
• Collaborate across product and infra to balance speed and reliability.
• Communicate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
